"Carving The Little Guy"

I carved this fellow from the book "Carving The Little Guys" by Keith Randich. The book has good step by step instruction with plenty of photographs. He is 1" x 1" x 2" high basswood painted with acrylics.

I recommend this book if you are a beginner woodcarver and want to try smaller carvings. They are fun to carve even for the more experienced carver.

I apologize for not posting for such a long time. I have had a lot of health issues and carving was put on hold.
This Smiling Apple was done from Russell Scott's tutorial. He has some excellent videos on doing faces on his blog.
